I'm just wondering if this is something normal or something strange...

For some reason, I seem to be very interest in suidcides and murders, and have a feeling that I want to see something like this happen

I live right next to Epping Forest, which is near London. I walk my dog here almost every day. Anyway, this forest is a very common place for people hanging themselves, and people burying dead bodies (and is often unreported). I am very interested in this, and I seem to want to find a dead body. I know deep-down that if I did see a dead body, I would probably wish I hadn't of seen it.

I also live right near a London Underground station, and the Underground is a common place for suicides (about 50 people a year throw themselves infront of London Underground trains). I often use the Tube, and have never seen this before, and I seem to want to.

Anyway, I might have gone on a bit :D , but is it normal to want to see dead bodies and to see people commit suicide??? I have never seen a anything like this, which is probably why i'm so curious.

Well I wouldn't consider it to be normal, but maybe you can immerse yourself into crime TV they always have interesting things suicides, murders things you might be interested in. Seeing a dead body in real life in no joke and for some can be very traumatizing it's nothing to be excited about.

Maybe you could pursue a career in criminal justice. Have you spoken to anyone like a school counselor about these things? Just stick to crime TV it will keep those thoughts at ease. Good luck. If you ever need someone to talk to I'm always here.

I grew up with a fascination of everything morbid - would stay up late into the night searching up everything related to death and destruction, from pictures to stories - but it more or less faded out as I started to emerge from the deep depression that also accompanied the early years. If I were to give an analysis of the dynamics behind it - it was attraction to a concrete manifestation of the abstract forces which dwelled within. Comforting, as this more or less 'mirror image' gave the inner destructive presence an opportunity to entertain itself, without having to inflict any real physical harm.

I won't consider it to be either 'normal' or 'strange', in particular - but it is certainly worth examining. Can specific causes be pinpointed, and if so, are they anything deserving of concern? - It often is the case with this experience, though not always of course.

Just a word of caution, take heed not to let this fascination get the better of you and drag you unconsciously into dangerous real-life situations.

Maybe your just interested and curious? I wouldn't think much of it, I'm interested in ghosts, urban legends, and death, different people are interested in different things. Hope I helped(:

I'm interested in forensics, so I did wish to find a dead body near my house, at one point in my life.. however it wasn't the... I hope someone dies.. i don't cope with death well.. more of a curiiousity. I'd think if I saw a dead body, I'd be traumatized.
Umm.. if yo wanted to stop with these thoughts, try thinking that you know the person that is commiting suicide or dead... like a best friend. Picture your best friend.. i'll just say Stacy ( idk if you have a best friend Stacy, but its just an example) jumping in front of the train... or finding her dead in the woods... The idea isn't exciting anymore.. it becomes scary and you wouldn't wish that opun someone.
as a young child I grew an obsession to events with deaht. I was obsessed with the Titanic at age 3 up until well now.. I would read everything, research. I had passenger lists prnted out on my walls, with who died whch class. I wrote stories drew picstures imagining what it would be like on that night. I became interested in the Sn Fransico earthquake, and tsunamis, and war, anthing that involved death and large killing or murder, i grew interested in it. Like the Manson crimes, it wa one i researched. Weird murdrs that were brutal an horrible. But I'm moving away from that, because I'm sureit's not healthy. I also like ghosts. Wel, I'm afraid of them, but it's a bizaree interest.

steve1234, you sound a bit like me. I'm curious to experience seeing death, among other things. I kind of feel like I want to experience a lot of things, just to see what it's like.

it's not really normal, your just curious i suppose. perhaps a very morbid thing to be curious about, but curious all the same.
i guess as humans we are curious to see things we know nothing about, as nobody knows what really happens when we die.
like Goose said, you could always take a job that will involve these things. or perhaps just live on with the curiousity of something you may never see.

Thanks everyone for the replies.
I'm not exactly desperate to find a dead body in the forest or see someone throw themselves in front of a train. Hopefully I wont see this. Maybe I like all the drama. For some reason, it interests me. Im not interested in seeing people getting hurt, but why they did it etc.
I haven't really looked up pictures of dead bodies (maybe once or twice), I am more interested in suicide rates and figures etc (e.g. 50 people a year commit suicide on the London Underground). But its not as if im on the computer every night looking this up :D
Maybe i'll grow out of these strange thoughts, or maybe i'll stop thinking about it when I stop being depressed.
Anyway, thanks again for all the advice. Its made me realise that its not 'crazy' to think these thoughts, but its just something to work on.

I also have/had these thoughts, but my cousin (whom i had never met...we lived in different countries) killed himself when I was about 9....and in March, my sisters best friend killed herself. So, it has been tough. But I'm really intrested in killers, like..what brings them onto killing? And, my heroes are...mostly killers....I find them fasinating, they are just so cunning and clever...Yea, i'm strange xD
