I do. Seriously I just hate it. My last PE lessons was on Tuesday and I literally did nothing because people were doing badminton which I dislike as I actually cannot hit the damn thing at all. I'll do tennis but no one does it. So what do you think of PE/sports?

pe is also known as gym here.

but i find it stupid. It's just.. a time waste. I'd rather have an extra elective.

I just can't do anything

there was one time I actually enjoyed it - we had an adventure unit. the beginning stuff we did was so fun

PE isnt too bad depending on what sport we're doing. Sometimes I despise it though. Lol

i dont hate it, i just dislike it. i feel its a waste but we do some fun things. if i had a choice i wouldnt take it, but i dont, so i get over it. i think of it as one less period of acctually learning. but this time of year its steaming hot so i dread going to gym. besides that its and OK class

Overall, I like it. It's a good way to get some working out and getting out of class for a bit. The only time I don't like it is when they play football. I'm glad most schools have P.E., it's a great program to help keep us all from being unhealthy.

I absolutely hated PE. It was the one class preventing me from getting straight A's every year. >.<

The worst part was team sports, really; nobody wants someone who is physically unfit on their team. It would always make me feel like a burden. In my last year of mandatory PE I took a fitness class instead, where most activity was individual - and it was actually enjoyable to some extent. Helped me meet the group of friends I'm with now, too. :)

I feel like this when I have to do stuff like football (soccer). I end up just wandering around trying not to get in the way.

I loved PE. Only really the outdoor sports like football, running and OAA. I'm now doing it at A level. Running really the one thing that gives me more of a frustration outlet than ranting. :P

-.- team sports sucks balls. Literally. Can't throw or catch, or hit anything with decent aim.

Me + physical exercise = biggest mistake ever. I hate PE and sports, period. The ball never gets thrown to me, because I can't catch it or I'm not fast enough to run after it. I always feel like I'm in the other people's way.

Honestly, I see no point in PE and I think it should be optional in school. :)

But the students who need to stay "fit" end up with self-esteem issues so surely its better to forgo sports rather than face embarrasement and confidence issues

The only thing I hate is how we have no options to choose from. Like we'll do football for weeks on end. And personally, I really dislike most team sports.

Never liked it.. But I got off easy for years because of my crap knees and just bad legs..

I'm not competitive and I stopped liking ''PE'' when it always ended up being running around in circles or playing football - hell I did those things as a kid every damn day.

Although I don't think PE or gym is pointless, at my school it was boring for much of it. There was plenty of track and field, high-jump (was actually kind of good at despite being rather short) and then the basic sports like hockey, soccer/football, American football and so forth. Only one year, I think it was grade 11 or 12, we did archery, badminton, racquetball, tennis and then some basic sports. Usually at every grade level dodge ball was done which was usually pretty fun.

Despite this, I say it was boring because only one year I loved all of it plus got to teach part of it. Other than that, it wasn't terribly exciting. There were some funny moments as always but wasn't something where I'd be jumping up and down about. The coach/teacher was pretty good but there was just such a wide range of skills, people who were brilliant at the sports, the average (me) and the awful. The good thing was though the teacher seemed to realize this and in our grading, he marked us on effort, participation, enthusiam and attendance ,which usually gave around a 75%. Those who were brilliant go their skills counted in.

Definitely HATE it...I mean, in my school we only do football and handball, and like out of 60 guys there the only ones worth it are my two close friends and a few others who stay cool, the others are jerks or turn to jerks(Only during PE)by taking the game seriously, it's just that A GAME ¬¬ It's not like winning makes any difference.

I despise PE with a fiery burning passion. All those guys that play sports 24/7 are the only ones who ever catch the ball or whatever, and just make us guys feel bad. I've almost beaten the crap out of a few guys just for being jackasses to us "inferior sportsmen" or something like that. So glad I don't think I have to take it next year, my parents might be merciful. There's better ways of staying in shape.

I don't care much for PE either way. I do find it to be a waste of a class though. "Physical Education" comes with absolutely no education. Simply show up, dress out, and play basketball. Instant 100. I find it pointless, but I enjoy it nonetheless, well, that is when my track coach isn't teaching. He finds that I should be practicing, not playing ball. Oh well.

PE is very pointless unless your going to be a sports star
"I'm gonna be a sports star! Let's take PE!" :D "Oh shit, I messed up my shoulder, now I can't play sports." "Oh shit, I took PE for sports stars, now what will I do with my life? McDonalds, here I come."
"I'm gonna be a sports star! Let's take PE!" :D (Years later) "Oh damn, lookie there, I'm not good enough." "Back to McDonalds."

Why do people not take sports, I mean you only get one chance to play, then you'll likely be sitting behind a desk or something similar for forty years. If you don't like playing on a team theirs wrestling, tennis, and track (shotput).

I never did care for PE but then again I never was that athletic. My parents kinda forced me to do athletics and i was very lazy about it. I liked being on the computer better though some people could afford to get off there butt and do something with there life.

I stand there and do NOTHING. Well, make funny comments about EVERYTHING haha, that makes everyone laugh. And yet I still have a 100 in the class. :D

Hate it. But not sure if the high schools you go to allow you to not take gym class. Mine does not require it. So I will not be taking gym classes all 4 high school years. Yay :)

I never minded PE classes, I enjoyed them to be honest, I hate sitting all day, I fidget and get restless. Junior high PE was especially fun since I got the be a dance leader for the dancing unit, and I was pretty damn good at soccer since I played in both 7th and 8th grade. Half the time, Mr. O'Donnell would just give me his keys, and I'd wander around the school aimlessly xD

The only part I thing in PE that I hated were the arseholes who cared too much about winning and ruined it for everybody who was trying to have fun.

Oh God...I HATE gym. In my school we only need to take gym once so I chose to get it over with in my freshman year and let's just say I didn't do squat. I'm the kind of person that purposely misses the ball just to piss off the people who take the class way too seriously. =P It's very amusing. It's completely pointless to me though. I ride horses, swim all throughout the summer and take bikram [hot] yoga classes twice a week for about two hours. I'm active enough. (:

Gym is a great way for me to relax during the day. Being in so many classes, I don't have a lunch, so physical activity is just a relief. Fortunately, I'm supposed to have it at the last period next year, which will be even better. It helps keep me somewhat in-shape, it's a fun class to talk to friends, makes me feel better about myself, and more comfortable with classmates. It's recreational for me, I don't take the sports too seriously.

PE is a good way to stay healthy... But it shouldn't affect your grades...
PE teachers usually do not care about their students medical situation and make them do all sorts of stupid things... I have friends that got seriously hurt because of stupid PE teachers... PE teachers aren't capable of accepting the fact that some people are biologically different...
