iPhones: Yes or no?

I've heard that iPhones are a waste of money because they break very often and easily. Are they a waste of money, or a good buy?

I don't particularly like them I have an HTC G1 and it runs apps has plenty of memory has a good camera. I don't like the I phone especially, but to each their own

I love my iPhone. Like Ronnie said, his phone has a good camera, the iPhones are known not to have the best cameras in the world... but with the new refreshment meant to happen sometime next month they should be better.

And do I even need to say its worth it just for the apps? 1000s of apps, a lot of them free, if not, they are worth the money. Size wise, go 64GB after time you'll find you run out of space.

iPhones are a complete waste of money! They break SO easily! My sister owns one, she dropped it on the carpet and the screen cracked. And besides its just an iPod with a calling feature. Why not get a iPod and a cheap phone for less, rather than a $500 iPhone?

Because it costs $200. And it can take pictures, something no iPod can do.

I've got a Google G1 with android which is one of the competitors to the Iphone.

Whilst on a job (theatre show) we were all issued iphones to play with to see if we liked them, they are great however my mate dropped his phone once from 3ft or so and the screen cracked completely making them seem fragile.

Would love one but once my G1 contract expires my mum won't pay for the majority of my contract therefore I probably won't get one.

Think about it like this...an iPhone is fairly cheap now. It costs the same as my stupid Rumor 2 and it has A TONNNN of capabilities. More so than probably 75 percent of the phones on the market.
It looks awesome! and it feels awesome!

Maybe I am biased because I don't hate Apple with a passion like some people, but as soon as I kick my sprint contract, I am going to get an iPhone which will be after the new one this summer.

Overall, it isn't a waste of money since there are many other phones on the market that are even more expensive than the .

i suppose they would break easily but from the way my friend gets on with his, damage it with the apple warranty and the store gives you some kind of free repair or replacement, but i doubt it works so smoothly.
i personally would buy one but they are very expensive and i still kind of prefer my old sony ericsson to this new smart phone craze.
i have heard though that the Android phones (powered by Google) are more powerful and Sony seems to have brought out a decent one (from what i've seen.)

Hehe I love it, Im getting mine in again soon, they had to fix the screen so im using a regular cell, I like the iphone way better, I can go on msn, facebook, vt, and listen to music while talking to someone all at once, I love it.
Yes they break, but so do any other phones, but i got a cover for mine now so when i get it back it wont break again.
but yes i voted that i love it.

They are wonderful! I own a 16GB 3GS, and have never experienced any issues at all! If you are planning on buying one now though, wait a few weeks, because they just announced iPhone 4!

Well I LOVE my iPhone!! :D. And now there really not that expensive:), and I'm not really sure how you take care of things. But for some people who are kinda rough on there phones they'll break easily. Me personally I take really good care of my things, and I've had mine for almost a year and it hasn't broke once:). And as far as apps, the Iphone has soo many, and almost all o them are under $1.99 :D. Soo Jess I say you should get one:D

I would probably get one if I could, but I don't ever see that happening. And plus, the texting on it is garbage, lol. I'd rather get a Google phone since I'm TMobile(which has garbage service in my room -.-) and get an iTouch. When my contract with my current phone ends next year, that's what I'm going to do. I'd like an iPhone for the convenience, even though Apple has to make so many of them and not really add important things.

anyone else notice that the iphone 4 has copied the walkman X series with it's buttons on the handset, the walkman was acclaimed for being the only touchscreen with this feature so you know it's direct lol

And the only reason why they "break" easy is because the owner doesnt take care of it properly and they blame Apple for their iPhone "breaking" to easy. the iPhone is extremely durable. the only way it can break is misuse and if you dont treat it well. treat something like shit, it will turn out to be shit.

true. a laptop dropping on the carpet i can understand breaking, but a phone or ipod, no. today, my friends iphone fell from a table in school screen first and not one scratch.
