For run and gun like no more than 15 yards I'd go with the AK since it's really powerful and shoots fast but long range its hard to use because of its funky recoil. Overall really the FAMMAS is definitely the best in my opinion as long as you learn to use it up close. Basically a "one shot kill" with stopping power.

Fal and M16..
I have quite a fast trigger finger, people accuse me of having a mod all the time, so that makes the Fal really good for me. Low recoil, damn good range, works really well with all sights and attachments. Overall it's a sound gun, all you need is the trigger finger.
I think it's a shame that the M16 has been changed for MW2, in reality it doesn't just fire in a 3 round burst - it can be changed to be fully automatic. If the M16 could be changed in-game then I think it would be the best assault.

i voted for M4A1 but AK-47 is the best, just takes to long to unlock. Scar-H would be better if it had larger mag

My favorite would be the ACR and the AK-47.

tar 21 is the best. it has the highest damage output per second of all the assualt rifles. and its recoil isnt too bad, especially with silencer or holographic sight. but i also like the m4, its really cool and i think better then the acr.

Scar-H and ACR because they have an automatic Recoyle, but I dont really the Famas because it only has a 3 round burst.

Its not the weapon that matters
its who's wielding it

Well it does matter what weapon in some cases, because if you come across someone with an ACR and you have an M9, the person with the ACR is going to be able to kill you before you will be able to kill them.

Oh youd be surprised what the side arms can do
taking down assault rifles with pistols can be pretty easy at times

Well I suppose if you have a pistol and you are really good at the game and come across a noob with an Assault Rifle you could kill them easily.

If you've got a pretty good aim; then you want to try using only throwing knives, combat knives and pistols. You have no idea how effective, plus amusing when you get game winning kill, they can be.
