Intoxicated girl gang raped by boys

Two boys, aged 13 and 14, have been convicted of the gang rape of an intoxicated 12 year old girl in the Kimberley.

It was last Christmas Eve when the girl visited one of the boys' homes on a quiet street in Kununurra.

The 12 year old was so drunk, she passed out.

After a discussion between themselves, both boys decided to have sex with the sleeping girl.

They later put her clothes back on and called her mother to collect her.

The incident was reported to police after she woke up. Detective Alan Goodger says the investigation was disturbing on many levels.

"There's a number of issues police are concerned with. We're obviously very concerned when a 12 year old girl is subject to an offence like this because we're obviously aware of the long-term effect it can have on a juvenile.

"And, we're appalled at the apparent lack of supervision of those children."

Two of the boys have been sentenced to eight and 15 month's detention.
An 11 year old also involved in the assault has been convicted and will be sentenced in August.

so sad. i hope those kids get a serious education in the detention system. nonetheless, their futures aren't bright. And the girl won't be the same again. i really hope she's okay. or at least, gonna be okay.

Eight and fifteen months isn't enough to fix that poor girl's memory. She will be scarred for life. So sad, those boys deserve at least two to three years in Juvy for this.

Not to defend the boys, but she shouldn't be passed-out drunk at aged 12 anyways. Jesus Christ, was has happened to this generation? 12 year olds getting drunk and being raped by 13 and 14 year olds. Fucking disgraceful.

That is a good question. Obviously i don't know the details but they can't be very good at the job.

That's sick. Those boys behaved like animals. Of course the girl was stupid to get drunk and pass out but for those guys to have sex with her while she was like that is just disgusting.

I say both parties are guilty and both should be arrested or otherwise punished, possibly therapy. The two boys for the obvious reasons of gang rape and the girl for having access to enough alcohol to actually pass out. It's also the fault of the parents/guardians. Overall, it seems to be a case where everyone involved is guilty and everyone should get some sort of therapy or rehab. The girl should get treatment for her drinking and for the emotional damages suffered. The boys should get treatment for deciding and gang raping a passed out person regardless of the victim's age. The parents/guardians for lack of supervision and especially for the girl, social workers and child protective agency should get involved.

Why is this being publicized? Rape happens everyday to a shit load of people. What makes this girl so important to get her own story? It's like the news will choose only one murder, a rape, and a couple dead soldiers to talk about. Everyone else nobody gives a shit about.

Nobody cares about the victim unless it's put on the news or written in an article. Millions of children go missing, but I remember when that one girl went missing and it seemed like that was allot more important than all the others that went missing. I don't find it fair.

I'm pretty sure the girl that was raped probably didn't want her story even published on yahoo news in which everyone would know she was victimized.
