Reports from a remote Canadian community say a strange creature was pulled from a local creek earlier this month.
The locals say the 'monster' was removed from the water by a dog.
In what may be an elaborate hoax, the bald-faced creature was posted on the official website (www.kitchenuhmaykoosib.com) of the Big Trout Lake community.
The 30cm dead creature could be that of a bear cub or otter but the internet is a flurry with claims it may be more paranormal than that.
It is being linked to mythological creatures like the Loch Ness monster and Ogopogo.

What do you guys think it is? Is it a "monster," hoax, or just a plain old mix up?
I personally think it looks kind of like a small bear or something with fur removed. Whatever it is, I hope theres more. Maybe it's bigfoot :P

Meh, its not a shock, it happens. Though i dont believe the end bit. they contradict themselves a fair bit in that. The 2nd picture in the link shows his face is kinda deformed compared to the other side. So its likely its just either a cross breed or a deformation of some kinda animal. that's if its actually real.
A weird looking foot long animal (a cross breed of an otter & muskrat) with a rat
tail & a white almost a human face was found in the shore of KI drowned.
No one knows what it is but our ancestors used to call it the Ugly One. Rarely seen but when seen, it's bad omen, something bad will happen according to our ancestors. The animal was photographed by local non native Male Nurse on
the first weekend of May, 2010. - Website

Yes, I fail to see how something so ugly could be linked to mythical creatures.

It looks a bit like an otter... There are a lot of things it could be.... Genetic Engineering, Birth defect, crossbred animal, alien creature, monster (aka Chupacabra, Loch Ness, etc.), undiscovered animal, or fake. I'm rooting for alien =P

It's Cody, duh :P
But in all honesty, It just looks like an Otter that suffered from birth defects, and died due to the defect after god knows how long of having it.
Here's a regular otter:

Then go have a look at the pictures of the 'creature'.
You can tell by looking at the feet and body.

He would be the one to find something like that. :P
Even if it is, Steph.
You have to admit, it's still pretty scary.

I wouldn't rule out otter, but it looks very different to a regular otter. It could be some god forsaken hybrid of an otter..

It actually looks like an otter with a skin pigmentation problem, which is a bit uncommon in them. If it was an otter, I'm wondering how it's fur mysteriously fell off.
