I took that personality disorder test from this forum, and it said I have a very high chance of being Schizotypal, and when I saw what the symptoms were, I began to get curious. I looked it up, and from the information I found, it sounds like I could very well have StPD. Now, I know that just because I have likenesses to the symptoms, or whatever, it doesn't mean I have it. Nonetheless, if I want to make sure, what should I do? I don't want to tell my parents because I try to keep an emotional distance from them, so telling them would be kinda emotional. (Ack, can't explain it clearly) So is there anyway I can tell if I have it without telling my parents first?

I wouldn't believe everything you see on the internet unless you are properly diagnosed by a doctor. You could always see a school counselor and they maybe able to help you or make suggestions or reassure you. If you think that this maybe something you have you might have to talk to you're parents because they will be able to further you in getting more help to be properly diagnosed. Hope this helps. If you ever need someone to talk to I'm always here

There are certain diagnostic tests or questionnaires for determining what mental illness one may have, some are specialized while others are more generalized. The one on this site is not one of these. Even so, the diagnostic questionnaires provide information to the clinician that there is an increased chance one may have the disorder in question but it's still up to the clinician based on previous information to decide. I don't think you would find these questionnaires online, at least not in their entirety, usually there are some sample questions from them. One of them would be the MMPI-II, which has roughly 500 or 700 questions (short or long version), the 16PF Questionnaire which has roughly 200 multiple choice or true-false questionnaires and the list goes on. These would be tests where if it said you have, say, schizotypal, then there's a decent chance you do but silly online tests like the one on this forum have no diagnostic value.

If you want to know for sure if you have it, then you need to see a mental health professional. There are doctors more for youth but there's little routes to access them without alerting your parents as most often you need a referral from another doctor, use a crisis intervention program which is open for public access (most are) or request from a crisis nurse (usually located at hospitals). And there's then school psychologists as mentioned previously. You may be able to access therapists without a doctor's referral but I do believe they may require pay or coverage on insurance. Even then, they cannot provide diagnoses for your medical record because they don't have any authority to do so.
