First of all this topic could probably go in a few different sections, so if you think it appropriate please move it.

So this may be old news, or not really news at all for that matter. I'm sure everyone has heard of Beats by Dr.Dre. You know, the supposedly super high quality headphones that all the kool kids have. Well, long story short I'm in the market for new headphones and I would really love an opinion. I don't really need a technical opinion, just any opinion at all.

So recently Lady GaGa has signed a contract with Monster Beats and has produced some high-tech ear buds. They're called heart beats. They're also only $100; quite cheaper then Dr. Dre's $300. Yet there seems to be some debate on whether or not they're for girls or are uni-sex. I'm a huge fan of GaGa and these look like great headphones. I'd love to get them. But I'm afraid they may be a bit too girly. I'm a straight guy and I'm okay with them. But what do you think? Will I be called gay for jamming with these in my ears? What would you do if you saw a regular looking guy walking down the street with these in his ears? Let me know your opinions.

Just to clarify I have nothing against gay people or anything of that sort. I just simply want to be careful with what I put in my ears :)

First personally I don't think there really that girly! But if your worried about getting called "gay". I would suggest getting the beats by dre- tour edition ( there only $150). Those are the ones I have:-). But personnaly I despise the whole "beats by dre" company! Grrr!

They're $100 earbuds

They're not even headphones.
not worth it. If you want to spend a lot for something that's nearly disposable get the ipod brand earbuds [they're like 30]

Thanks! I didn't think they did either, but apparently some people on the interwebz had a different opinion. So thank you! I actually do like the Beats Tour edition. But they look kind of uncomfortable, like they would have trouble staying in my ears since they seem pretty long. How are they?

I agree with you about the company, I hate paying for brand names. But I've heard great things that they seem worth taking into consideration

I know, and I would agree with you. But I listen to music everyday, constantly really. And headphones really aren't portable enough for me. I have a nice pair of like $50 Sony headphones that I use for special occasions such as a plain trip or long car rides, but they're rather impractical. Oh and Ipod headphones, I've had those, they annoy me. You can't change around the size of the ear bud and they can fall it easily and I don't really think the quality is all that great. Just my thoughts.

Eh maybe it's because I have mild reactions to rubber that I don't care for that style to begin with (the shape of the thingies. that is done with a thin thing of rubber. The ipod ones are silicone around the side)

Actually there really comfortable!! And they come with several different size buds, and several different bud styles! But see I've had to get mine replaced twice!! Soo that's why I don't really like the company. But there "TERRIFIC" while they last lol! Hope I helped!

Okay first of all, these are earphones for onehundred dollars! Must be the best earbuds in the world!?!

And second: You're a huge fan of GaGa... aren't you a bit too girly right now?.. Think about it ;)

And by the way, what has Lady GaGa got to do with selling earbuds? I bet she just signed the contract and never asked how they will even look like. But Dr.Dre is in the studio all day and really knows about producing sounds. You should buy good earbuds instead of paying hundreds of dollars for a company's name.

there is an edit button for a reason, please use it.
