So, whenever I try to get on from my families laptop, it says I have been banned from the chat. But whenever I get on from the desktop or my school's computer, it's suddenly fine.

Any ideas?

Yea, the IP that was used when you were banned was from home...the one that you use at school isn't a banned IP address.

So...I am not sure why you are banned but I would say PM an admin to try to get it lifted

The laptop uses the same IP with my Home IP. So, why am I banned on the laptop, yet can get in on my Desktop? That's what I'm asking

I think IP adresses randomly change, or change when you switch the modem off...
I'm not a very good computer person but maybe computers use different IPs? I'm not sure

Its possible that the IP address that was used corresponds to a particular computer but usually its just the internet source that was used...im sure someone will shed some light on it soon

I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure that each individual computer has a different IP address... It's kinda of like a home address. every house has one and they are all different..

Well, each computer has it's own local network IP. The IP that the internet "sees" is actually the same for each computer on your connection.

So no, they won't be different.
