I open my eyes in a field of tranquility
Grass holding rhythm with my heart voluntarily
Angels have taken shape of the clouds
Singing to me in wonder tone sounds
Demons trapped behind the tree gates
Willing their way into mind-soul debates
Silently I stare at the ocean huge sky
Thoughts over taken my observing eye
Not once had I a thought of such place
Where life lived well hath not be a race
Dandelion seedlings are fairies in the air
Breezes carry them, braided into my hair
I lie on my back still searching the sky
Wondering if this is how I’m meant to die
Happy, free, all of this, given to me
How glorious a day in heaven I see
That I’ve now a glimpse of this earth
Untouched by a man and his dirty hearth
Still I shall smile with my time here
I understand heaven is far more than near
Yet I will wake still adrift in my slumber
To carry this dream upon my back, a lumber
A story will follow this generous day
Each of my children will remember to say
One prayer into night to thank this good deed
That sent to me one, one lonely seed
Upon my own pillow it shallowly rests
Today I will take it, build it a nest
From this dream seed a flower will bloom
Humans who scent it will never call doom
Thank this good land upon peace it has grown
Without a dream flower we couldn’t have known
A world without war, life far beyond this
Stupidity is merry, enlightenment bliss
Forgive those who teach of what does offend
They have learned no other, they preach us this end
Take into knowledge this lesson well learned
Life far off earth is a dream you must earn
