Double posting in OWN diary

double posting is at the discression of the owner(s)

personally I don't care as long as it's not spam (IE quad posting is a nono)

also if double posting wasn't allowed the 'rant threads' woudln't be allowed

Yes, otherwise all the diary/my thought/blog type of threads would be invalid

Yes, it's allowed in you're diary, but as long as you keep it logical and not spam in others diary. If it's you're diary however you can post as you please.
