Is it normal for someone 13-14 to have came out as fully gay/bi?? Because I was on the train yesterday and I seen this guy who went to one of the other High schools, and was in the same year as me. He was quite obviously gay/bi (I won't go into details) is this normal?? usually people my age are still str8/undecided..........:confused:

I read that people are coming out earlier and earlier and that it isn't unusual for middle school students to come out.

sexuality is complicated. first, you can't get hung up on appearances to judge sexuality. but beyond that, sexuality is constantly changing, especially during adolescence. it is certainly possible to come out as gay/bi/straight at 13/14, there is a high possibility of your sexuality changing, often more than once.

Yeh, he was talkin about guys and stuff and he had that 'stereotypical' look- but is it a good idea labeling yourself and then changing back:confused: people might think you're weird...

idk, but in my school no one has openly admitted being gay. I see it all the time online and here on vt. So, is it normal? Well from where im from I would have to say no. But, in other places it appears to be normal!

Well, it is normal for him to be gay or bi but he's young and it could still change. I was straight until I was about 14, then I just went off boys over a period of a few weeks, then i liked girls(genuinely), now im questioning.
I was sure I'd be straight forever, so there's no way of telling, but it isn't abnormal for him to like guys.

To me, sexuality is a big gray area. People change, their likes change, their loves change. Meh.
If you want to "come out" I don't see why not, but depending on someone's area, do so with caution since most people aren't as accepting as one would hope.
Though, I once read an article about how adult homosexuals knew they were "different" from their heterosexual parents most before age 10. I knew when I was six.

Some, if not most, would say coming out at 13 is too young to label yourself like that.
But if you feel 100% about it, go for it! =D

its normal and not normal at the same time. at age 13-14, people are not fully decided and still a little bit confused. if i were you, i would wait until im 15 or 16. but if you already know your sexuality, and youre comfortable enough, start telling people and be who you are :D

i think it's just normal. it depends on the person's own decision about his sexuality

agreed, it also depends on the person and where you live as some places might be really homophobic, or you might feel afraid to tell people.

it depends on the place, the country, the situation. Some Ppl in some Countries are more open minded. Where i live is not common at all :P. But teen of 14 are still growing up, so changes happen every day every minute, one shoulndt take premature decisions and wait until further stages of teen years :) even a lot of ppl came out as adults :P

I'm sure of my sexuality, although I haven't came out yet.

IT IS NORMAL! but it can also be your hormones making you feel a certain way. I've heard that you are never sure until after puberty (or was it 16 yrs old?) because of the hormones...but what do I know, that's just what I heard.

If a person feels sure and is not living in a hateful environment, that person will probably come out. I came out when I was 13.
