Would you consider yourself to be right wing, left wing or centrist?

Personally I'm right-wing and a supporter of the UK Conservative Party

Here in the US, I'm on the Conservative side yet some of my beliefs are left wing

I'm just about as left-wing as it gets. The only exception about me would have to be when it comes to gun control. I'm a strong advocate of the Second Amendment.

Just about as far-left as it gets in the States, although there are some more extremes in Europe

I'm a huge right-wing conservative.

I'm in the middle. Both sides have their good points, but I hate politics, though. So, yeah...

I pretty much left.
There are some but very few right wing views I have though

I'm pretty darn left. But I can see the faults behind both, so in that respect I suppose I'm more moderate.

I'm moderate, registered Independent.
Some issues, I lean left,
Some issues, I lean right.
For the most part, I'm about finding a middle ground.

Let's see where everyone stands on the spectrum. I'm more (slightly) Conservative-Libertarian.

I'd say centre although I lean to the left alot of the time.

Depends on the issue. I'm pretty torn in the middle. I am very liberal in most matters where religion comes in, and I find myself leaning towards a strang of socialism sometimes. But other times I support older traditions too. It really depends on the issue.

Someone should make a survey by issue and ask people where they stand... Just saying. :P

Thing is, this is the Virtual Teen Forum, so the results are going to be biased. Adults (which I hardly need to tell you are more experienced) seem to always vote right more than teenagers or children do. And yes, we were best (or at least the UK was) with a right wing government.

left....mostly (isnt that right ant :D )

+ Healthcare (its a right not a novelty for the rich)
+ Daycare (universal daycare is something i'm a strong supporter of!! especially in rural communities where competition is minimal and monopolies are everywhere)
+ Education (Our education system is SHIT, we need a complete revamp from k - 12 with MASSIVE federal aid if we are going to thrive as a nation)
+ International aid (Canada used to be on the foreground for peacekeeping and aid the harper regime has destroyed that once hard earned reputation, Why the fuck are we not funding safe abortions?!?!? fucking Christian conservative bullshit.)
+ climate change (its a fact, we need to deal with it, as a northern nation we will be hit hard by it we need to be both prepared for it and we need to do all we can to curb emission's)
+ balanced books (under the liberals we were the only debt free G7 nation for over a decade even before the recession hit the conservative harper gov was destroying our books and throwing us into debt)
+ decriminalizing pot and growing hemp for paper production
etc.....
I'm hardcore left

on other issues i'm right
+ military spending (like Canada NEEDS nuclear powered subs to patrol our arctic waters under the ice for months at a go, we NEED heavy ice breaker class destroyers, again to defend our arctic which as it stands now we literally are incapable of doing some 9-10 months of the year. that being said i'm no fan of war and believe it should be used for domestic defense and i have NO interest in developing a military industrial complex on Canadian soil)
+ hard stance on Muslim ideology (like i'm pro burka banning....even tho that was a motion brought on by a liberal gov in quebec)
+ mandated election dates for house of commons AND the senate (i want them in the constitution!)
+ longer criminal sentences for repeat offenders

I think that both parties go to extremes so I stay in the middle, mainly because I currently support left but if we had a bunch of left-wing extremist then I would probably go right. I also differ on some arguements which is why I think both parties can and will and do go to extremes.

Why do you base your political stance on other people's ideologies?
