Women wanted equal rights, right? well then, can someone tell me why girls still think the guy always has to ask THEM out, and why they think if a guy wants to talk, they can Txt/ call THEM first, instead of them calling/txting us first?.....what do you think about this guys and girls?
ex. the guy has to ask the woman to marry them. women would just sit around in a relationship till the guy asks them to marry them. even thought the woman CAN and should ask a guy if they love them that muhc......just an example

I've learnt that women only want equal rights when it suits them.
Just men asking women out is one of those social norms which need to go. It would be great if men could ask out women, but also women would ask out men.
This is the reason why men are more likely to suffer from 'love shyness' than women (scientific fact), as us guys are expected to do all the asking.
There are some rare cases though where girls ask the boys out, where women ask men to marry them. But, the majority of times it is left up to us guys :/

maybe because girls are generally more shy that guys, and it eventually led to it being a must for the guy to ask out a girl.
but sometimes, girls do ask out guys.

Firstly your example is wrong in this situation as that is what we call a tradition. It has always been the tradition in many countries for the man to ask but many women do ask their husbands to marry them. My friend did.
Secondly your being stereotypical in your view towards girls as ive done all of that stuff and i am a girl and many girls do do that stuff. If a girl doesnt she doesnt but most girls do those things. So by presuming we dont you are wrong imo.

I've always had issues with this. In 6th grade, when we all got in middle school, guys were forced to take showers and girls didn't have to. Obviously this was unfair. However, as time went on I just got used to it. Social norms like this are hard to overcome and to be honest these socially acceptable women-related norms probably won't ever die. Women want equality politically but socially they only want what benefits them (don't deny it ladies). There is one silver lining here though guys. When that sperm meets the egg, only the woman undergoes nine months of a human growing inside her. Women will fight for what benefits them only because they can't fight natural things (like pregnancy, periods, etc.) and want to make things socially unequal to balance out their unfortunate natural circumstance.
Cliffs: Women are in a more unequal natural place, so they want to make our side unequal socially.

Girls enjoy being shown affection and love. Having the guy make an effort proves he is into her.

Everyone makes good points :). heres another things on my mind. reading all this, it got me thinking. I personally think that women wait to get asked out b/c they dont want rejection. is this wrong? you tell me girls.

Well no one likes to be rejected, but I think it's mostly because of tradition. I mean it's courting, it's one of the oldest traditions in human history. Guy shows he has attractive attributes, girl flirts with said guy, guy asks girl out.
Equal rights will always be an issue, and we will probably never live in a society that's completely 50/50. Regardless of how close we do get to a 50/50 gender equal society, there will always be these types of "traditions" that will most likely outlive any equal rights movement. Welcome to the real world lol
