Can Lotion Harm the Male Reproductive System?

I've been masterbating with hand lotion for the past several months. Most of the forums that I've visited said that the use of lotion as a lubricant was perfectly safe. However, I've encountered some forum posts that state that lotion has chemicals in it that can harm the reproductive system.

Also, I use two lotions: A regular "Aveno" lotion, and this more expensive stuff with a green bottle and a mint-like smell. I'm not sure if different types or brands matter.

i don't see how it can harm your reproductive system unless you are injecting it into your scrotum and i know you aren't doing that.

I'm worried about the lotion absorbing though. I do wipe off the excess lotion when I'm done. Perhaps I should apply some water on my penis afterwards, just to be sure.

The lotion isn't going to absorb past the skin. if you feel safer applying water afterwards do so. but i don't see a danger with using lotion. i would not worry if i were you

some lotions can give you a rash although that more often applies to ointments. generally, it can't do any harm.

I just thought of something: I do have a big vain on my penis. Do you think that the lotion's chemicals could seep down into the vein, and then into my blood system?

Um... Lotion is used just about everywhere else on your body. i can't see any reason why you couldn't use it there. Probably not the best idea for sex lube because it could irritate the girl (or guy's buthole, if you're gay).

I never use anything apart for purpose sex lubes because a lot of other bathroom lotions can sting like hell, but it seems unlikely that they would do any long term harm.
