I have recently recieved this 'reputation' thing .

First off, what is this reputation thing about?

And I would apprieciate it if people wouldn't comment things like this to me:

It is from the 'Help' post under 'Relationships and Dating'. I joined this forum for support, not to be abused my immature losers. I get enough abuse at college thanks very much.

pm an Admin (Maverick or Epiphany), they'll deal with the rep and the person that sent it to you.

Now what is it about?

What is Reputation?
Reputation or simply 'rep' is a system that shows how reputable the user is based on the judgment of their peers. The symbol for rep is (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/images/styles/fblue/buttons/reputation.gif). It is located on the bottom left corner of everyone's post. You click on that icon to give someone rep.

The higher the person that reps you, the higher your rep power becomes. Every 50 points you increase by 1 rep power, or decrease depending on the reputation given. So say your rep is 40. When you positive rep someone, you give them 40 points. When you negatively rep then, you decrease them by half your rep power, which would be 20 points.

You can private message staff members but that's it until you get 100 :)

i have the same issue. people keep on posting a lot of *hit.. but the thing is i dont care.i cant stand dumbs

Abuse of the rep system will result in infractions.

If someone abuses the system, simply send a PM to the admin as stated above.
