This is something i wrote sometime ago.

This whole house is one damn stage. Tonight, the actors have played these roles time and time again. No variation. But then, it's also a good thing. We, the actors, can better hide our true identities. Our characters are pulled off almost flawlessly. Occasionally, we're corrected, but that is what makes us stronger. We sit about, wishing we could stop pretending, but know that we need it. If we didn't, life just might collapse. Our minds wouldn't know how to cope. We'd be lost.
Ah. The father sits next to his daughter, not noticing that she is craving a drink. The mother works at her computer, not realizing that her oldest daughter is probably planning to sneak out. And neither of them notice that the youngest is going to go to that party with those kids, no matter what her parents told her. Two daughters relax, not seeing the mother hiding her pain, and the father's stress. One daughter sits with a laptop, typing this long ramble about her life, the play that no one will come watch. And all of them wonder what act tomorrow will bring. Will it be a comedy? Or maybe it'll be a drama. Musical, perhaps? Or something more along the lines of family? I don't know what scene I'll be playing next, but i know that this one is getting old, yet it's also so familiar, that it is second nature, and comfortable for now.
