Broken PSP screen because I dropped it :'(

Arghhh! This is stressing me, I dropped my PSP accidentally at bathroom, and it hits hard floor, now my PSP screen just won't work :'(
The battery is fine, but the screen just won't display anything..

So... Do you guys have any suggestion about what to do to fix it?

Nothing much you can do. If it is under warranty, Sony will fix it for free. If not, then you either leave it or pay them to fix it.

there are many tutorials on how to do it yourself, which i have done with no experience at all. its very simple. you can buy a screen off ebay, get a small screwdriver and replace it. it will be cheaper the paying for sony to do it. this is only if you dont have a warrenty

However, I'm just wondering if Sony would repair a homebrew PSP?
I'm just afraid that they'll see the firmware and decided to charge me instead because it's illegal (Actually, I don't even know if this is illegal or not)

well if they see its homebrewed, they might charge you. but you might beable to restore it, then bring it in.

yea problably. i dont know alot about psps but i know with ipods if there jailbroken (im guessing its about the same as homebrew) that apple will charge you. its not "illegal" but they dont want people doing it. the screen replacement is sooo easy to do. DONT THROW IT OUT!!

I'm just curious, how much did you pay for in your ipod?

ipod touch 1st gen 16gb, about, hmm mabye 150-200 i forget how much, got it on ebay. now its probaly 125ish-150
