I've lost friends before, mainly because they seemed to lose interest in me. It didn't hurt me, because by then our relationship had become miniscule. I'm glad you got out of that friendship though, it's never good to have friends use you.

I have lost a friend before, but i was for a good cause. He was getting involved with drugs after he had even saw how bad my dad was and after I told him what they have done to my family. He went and did them got all whacked out and called me telling me how right he was. Then he did them the next day again. I felt like it wasn't doing me any good continuing to be his friend. It would turn out to me enabling him or something worse off. So I broke the friendship. I'm glad I did.

I've lost a lot of friends over the course of the last yearish, but I mean, I guess it's just a fact of life. People are always going to end up entering and leaving our lives, and those who are meant to last and stay our friends will. I mean, not all friendships are meant to last, and I don't think the vast majority of them will ever resort in a long term, committed "best" friend type of relationship. It's nice, but all in all we can't necessarily have every close friend stay in our lives forever.
Or maybe I say that sometimes just to make myself feel better, but eh, it makes sense to me most of the time.
I've lost two friends that I was extremely close to; my friend emily, and my friend Amanda. I know it's probably extremely cruddy to say this, but when it comes down to it, I had outgrown Emily. She was bringing more stress, sadness, and just a general upsetness to me. I would stay up for hours on end just to make sure she was okay, wouldn't go cut herself, etc. Just for her to continually throw it back in my face. It sucks, she's a great person, but after nearly nine months of the same thing I got exhausted. I'll still be there for her if she ever truly, truly needs me, but I just can't physically be there for her. It toys with my emotions. All in all, I don't necessarily care, but I'm sure one day I will.
Amanda is a sad story. ): I wont go too far into it, but she had some rough, rough things going on. lashed out at me a few times here and there. She's doing so, so much better <3 I still talk to her every now and then though. :D I love that girl.
And sometimes it's good not to care about losing a friend, especially if it does a lot better for us in the long run. If you felt he was your friend for all the wrong reasons, then power to you for doing what you felt was right. :D! better to stay happy then miserable and uncertain.

Yep. We were friends from second grade until fourth grade. The reason? I decided to not be in the same fourth grade class as them. -.-
I miss, especially since there isn't a way to undue this since I move a couple of years ago, when I was in sixth grade. I still think of it to this day. What it'd be like us being friends or them not getting all pissed off because I decided to be in another fourth grade class. I think it's a stupid reason, to be honest. I'm pretty sure we'd been like, "herp derp, why are we not friends anymore?" around this time or something.

I had a close friend decide he wanted to be friends with a different group of people. It was really really hard. I felt like a failure, like I wasn't worth being a friend to. Over time I realized he just wanted to try something new and it allowed me to make new friends with other people as well.

yeah, my best guy friend and I..
we'd been really close friends for about a year.. but it was always rocky.. my friends always telling me to leave him alone, cause he was quite abusive towards me.. but i didnt listen, til it was far too late.. but i regret every second of him.. and i miss him every day..
nobody knows how much i miss him, and it kills me to see him in school, knowing that had i not told him to leave me alone, we'd be messing around like last year..

I used to have a best friend from 3rd grade but then he started to change the following years. Weird how a 4th grader can start looking for the 'cool' crowd. It all really went downhill at the end of 6th grade. By 7th grade I'd be lucky if i even got a nod when I saw him pass down to hall. In 8th,which i'm in now, we barely talked that I didn't even know he switched schools. Now i have no real friends i can rely on or talk to.

hi christian
i havent lost a friend for those reasons but about a year ago my best friends dad got transfered and the whole family moved to another state. we use to do everything together (no sexual lol) and we told each other everything. we could almost read each others minds and where one of us was, so was the other one. when they moved it really crushed me and left this huge emptiness in my life and even a year later i still miss him so much so yea i know how you feel. i m sorry that you lost your friend christian but from what you wrote maybe its better for you because now your not being used and taken for granted.
