I've been wanting to ask this question for a while

I want to know what the diaries are for. I read the information about diaries but it did not say what they are for.

also can only certain people post in certain diaries?

what topics are you supposed to create?

You create whatever topics you want.

everyone can post in diaries

a diary is like your own a forum but site rules apply. it's yours to do with what you want. it's just for members who want their own place to make threads about anything really within site rules

A diary, aka member forum, is for whatever the diary owner chooses providing they stick within the overall site rules.

Most diary owners create a sticky with their own rules for that diary, this will tell you whether they welcome new threads from other users and what sort of topics are allowed. Anyone can reply to any thread in a diary.
