Recently I have become much more depressed than usual, and trying to work out who I am, who other people are, having a bit of 'love-shyness', considering suicide almost daily (dont worry, there is no way im actually going to do it) and just general depression really.
The thing is, its just typical all this has to happen now. I have exams starting next week...and I am not revising and just dont care about revision, as I am worrying about all of those problems.
Is anyone else in a similar situation? Does anyone know how to stop thinking about all those things and just revise?

Thanks :)

I am in a similar predicament - it is indeed very frustrating. What I have found helpful, is to study with other people (someone you can work with, that is), as well as studying in a suitable environment. Most people seem to find peace of mind in a library; sometimes I like to frequent coffee shops as well. The atmosphere of the study environment is crucial to productivity - if you find that being alone in your room at home seems to invite uncomfortable thoughts, then go elsewhere.

Once in a suitable environment, the rest should come naturally. Don't deliberately focus on blocking unwanted thoughts out. Try to disregard the fact that they even exist - for, so long as the consciousness acknowledges its presence in some way, it will continue to manifest. Notice the people around you that are attentively concentrated on their own productive endeavours, and visualize yourself to be just like them.

The issues which plague you will persist in competing for mental attention. Don't lose sight of the fact that no matter how genuine or urgent any of it may seem, now is not the time.

Best of luck to you. :hug3:

Do what I do. Every time you think negatively, or have a depressing thought just mentaly scold yourself.

Think about it. Is a little depression worth reducing your chances of success for the future? It's rather selfish. Selfish because: What if you find someone and fall in love? What if you DO wind up ruining your future? What if you can't support the one you love? Do you want to look back and blame yourself?

Also, don't worry about who you are, or others. Take it day-by-day. Do what needs to be done. And don't worry about the future. Just secure your future. Ensure yourself the chance to succeed.

I hope this made an impact on you.

Thanks everyone for your advice. :)
I'm just going to do as much revision as possible, and If I still fail, then I wont care I will at least know I tried.
And I am trying to get rid of those depressing thoughts and try to stop being depressed.

I'm the same, I cant revise to save my life because everythings going around my head too much for me to focus. I have exams next week, and truthfully. I'm terrified. Best thing you can do is try and get out of the places you think most, see if friends are up to meet up and revise which might help you focus.
I have no will to revise at all, and I tend not too, but it's no way to pass exams. Good luck (:
