I badly want earrings but my mom says I can't have any because Chinese girls don't get until they are like adults and I don't want to follow this stupid custom

Maybe play the assimilation card? Tell her you want to fit in with the other American girls. Worked for my dad when he wanted to play American football instead of soccer when his family moved here from Ireland

You could say you just want to be a little different?
And that since you aren't in China that you can possibly not follow those same traditions.

personally i would just do it anyway in fact thats what i did lol but in your case i would just say that you dont wanna follow this custom and explane to her why you want it done and just try and reason with her

You can't, you have to either be 18 or have a parent sign off for the piercing.

you can still pull the assimilation card - you were born in the western world, and there's absolutely no reason why you shouldn't be able to get your ears pierced.
