so yeah at 18 thres a lot there and in a spur of the type moment I decided what the hell why not, left a little above my penis but cut most off but since the hairs I cut off still I have the roots there which rub against my pants, its a little red and itchy (not unbearable but a bit annoying) does this go away ater a couple of days or are there any creams etc that take the itching/slight redness away

Haha, did the same as me, sept I shaved... Hell worse. Yes the redness and ichyness will go after time. And also the more you do it, the more your skin will get use to it and won't be as bad. As for creams etc, I can't name any cause I'm not USA, so any brands I name you'll have no idea. Baby oils, and like hand morsherasizer (sorry about spelling, iPhone shit to spell with, I need my spell check >_<).

It may be red and itchy because you shaved against the grain -so you shaved up towards your belly button- Typically the first time you shave down there, it's going to become red and irritated. I just researched a possible shaving cream and came up with http://hairremoval.about.com/od/mensproductreviews/gr/male-body-hair-shaving.htm It softens the hair follicles and will make it easier for you to shave with less irritation. I may try to find this in store as your body will get used to shaving down there and knowing what feels right. To tell you the truth, I typically shave against the grain because you can get it bare and feel no roots, just be careful because you will -more than likely- bleed in a few spots but I find it worth it after.

The red and itchiness will go away in time so don't worry about that :). Next time you do shave/trim you should do it right after a shower, or during your shower. I don't know why but that helps alot. And when doing it I would reccomend using shaving cream that helps alot tooo! Hope I helped. :-P

I didn't find it too itchy when I shaved my pubes, I've only done it a few times, but as you do it more it gets less itchy. I've decided I like it hairy down there, so does my girlfriend =]

Irritation comes to nothing after a couple of times.Totally worth it.

The only thing that I can think of, is using lotion... But since you only trimmed, it might get a lot messier, than if you shaved.
