Since there was a restriction on PM's before you could send, there should be one on VM's.. Not 100 like PM's, but around 25 or 50.

I don't think that's really necessary since their messages have to be approved by a moderator already right now.

VM's aren't private everyone see's them so if there is a breakage in the rules it can be taken care of promptly. As Ant said they moderate them so i don't think it would be necessary.

can't you change it so only your friends see them?

I went to Profile Privacy and saw you can...so apparently if you set it to Your Friends only they and staff can see them

yea but the default is everyone and most people dont know how or even that you can change that option
