Desktop Backgrounds :)

Hi, Im not sure if many of you know, but I have quite a passion for digital artwork, especially horses. I shall post them up later, but unfortunatly they are not very good at the moment, but I should be soon getting an art tablet for my birthday! These are all done my mouse at the moment, using gimp version 2. I have been doing artwork for just over a few years now I think, so I am aiming for double the quality by the end of this year! Also, feel free to use them as a desktop background, they should work! ^_^

anyway, onto the pieces! :proud:

This was the first of my backgrounds. I was extremly pleased with how this turned out!

Okay, this was my second attempt. It wasnt as complex as the other one, and it looked nice simple so I just left it like it was. I think this has to be my fave! :wub:

This one is a slightly different shape, and a lot more busy. I diddnt like how this one turned out, but its still okay I guess.

This one is completely different to the others, I was just trying out to see what I could do and came up with this. Its not fantastic though. Its supposed to be a night sky and snowing, and a really bright star shining down at the camera, hence the camera lense thingy!


I am open to any qritique, but please dont bash me, i am trying my best ^_^

They do resize themselves to fit the screen. but they become pixelated

It's a little to dramatic, it doesn't flow well. But they are pretty good...To small for a background though..

Okay, So in future they need to be larger :) I find it quite hard to work with large art, but sure Ill give a go, I wont know untill I try ^_^

Just resize your brushes, details, and effects. Filters will adjust themselves for the most part. Just do what you were doing with those, but zoom way out so you document looks smaller. :)
