HI! So I was recently having a conversation with a friend of mine from Canada, I'm from the USA, but we were talking about his failed attempt to attend a French speaking school so he can be bilingual, but he was rejected because you have to come from a French family to attend a French school, at least, it is for that particular school.

This prompts my question,

Are there foreign language schools around you?
Do you attend one?
Do you know anyone that attends it and how it works out for them?
Just any experiences you can share would be appreciated. I'm quite fascinated by them.

MY friend from the US is going to school in Germany this year. all the foriegn language schools it seems are in another country. Tell your friend he should look to do an exchange in FRance this way we lives and speaks French everyday and will be much fluent. I take languages at local schools during the day. My friend is well past the age of an immersive elementary education program. :P

But I've heard of schools, especially in Canada that areconducted exclusively in the non-native language. It seems to be more common in more populous areas where, as is expected, there are more immigrants. I've heard of all Chinese schools in California and New York. But of course, Canada has all English schools in Quebec and all French schools... well... everywhere else. :P
