Yes, try 'The Chronicles of Narnia' by C.S.Lewis. The DVDs are good, too.

Golden Compass by Phillip Pullman
That's the American title, so depending where you live, the original UK title for that book is Northern Lights. Its the first in a set of three books which together are called His Dark Materials. I love them.

Oops! Thanks. Listen to Nick, he's right.
Yeah..Didn't think of that..Rather dumb if you think about it because the other books keep their name, right?

Hey, I wasnt trying to suggest you had been dumb, no particular reason why you might know it had a different uk title. The other two books have the same name everywhere, so the set is:-
Nothern Lights / The Golden Compass
The Subtle Knife
The Amber Spyglass

"Age Of The Five"
"The Black Magician Trilogy"
They're both by Trudi Canavan and they're epic, they're my favourite books along with the Harry Potter ones ^_^

The Ranger's Apprentice series (by John Flanagan) is pretty good. Also, the Seekers series by Erin Hunter is good.
