Hello everyone. I'm new here and i just wanted to know how to stop eating a lot. I'm overweight and i want to lose weight, but I just eat to much. On some days I don't eat more than 2 meals, which is usually during the weekends. I feel guilty everytime i over eat or eat snacks that are unhealthy such as chips. I want to lose weight so much and sometimes i think of not eating, but then i know that it could lead to health problems if i just stop eating. But i also feel that all the fat from my body will keep my body from going unhealthy. I heard that after a while of not eating the body starts to consume all the fat from the body. I fell if i don't eat then maybe i'll lose fat and that will help with me losing weight. I don't know what to do because i don't want to get an eating disorder, but who will notice when I'm so fat. People won't notice if i start to lose weight out of nowhere.
Edit:Also i think that if i spend more time outside my mom won't notice that i haven't been eating. I haven't done anything drastic yet but if it comes to me having to not eat then that's what i well do. I'm also Mexican so it's hard not to eat unheatly food when my mom is making all this Mexican food and also when I eat all this American food full of fat.

You do not want to start starving yourself/restricting.
It isn't a way to lose weight, it's a way to develop an eating disorder, health problems, other psychological problems(ie; depression, anxiety disorders), and death.
As well as that, when you starve yourself, yes, you lose fat, but your body will also feed off your muscle, this includes your heart(as it is a muscle).
This is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.
You could end up with heart failure, or sudden death, where you will just drop down dead one day because your heart becomes that weak that it cannot carry on beating any longer because the muscle isn't strong enough & it's been fed off by the body.
Your body also goes into starvation mode, & the moment you start eating again, it will cling onto the food, & more likely to transform that into fat, as it does not know when it will get food again.
It does this just to survive.
So, in the end, it'll be pretty much useless & pointless.
Some people keep the weight off, but others will gain it back on & then some.
You will be putting your body, especially your heart, under a lot of strain, so much strain that you could have a heart attack.
I'm sure you don't want that at your age.
2 meals isn't "too much" & I doubt you are overweight eating that little, (though, as said, your body could be in starvation mode from so few calories that it could be transforming the food you do eat into fat, = weight gain).
If you want to lose weight, do it the healthy & proper way, not this way.
See your doctor & ask to see a nutritionist & dietitian.
In the end, you can't just go on a diet, or starve for a few days, you need to change your LIFESTYLE.
Something you can do for the rest of your life, not just for a few weeks.
I'd recommend eating 6 small meals a day(this will speed up your metabolism), go to the gym/work out/do some weights(gaining muscle speeds up the metabolism, it is your choice how much muscle you want to gain though) & cardio burns fat so that could be useful in your case.
Eat plenty of salad, vegetables & fruit.
Keep a balance on everything you eat, you need fat/carbs/sugar, but a balanced amount of it.
Keep everything in balance.
Snacks can be included, but I'd recommend as a treat, don't overindulge on them.
Tell your Mom you would like to avoid so much fatty foods, & that you are changing your lifestyle & you'd like to be eating healthier foods.
Good luck, but honestly, I wish I never started binging/purging/starving/abusing laxatives/exercising excessively, because this ED will never go away, it's a very severe mental health illness & it can kill. It's one of the top mental health illnesses that kills.
Please do not go seeking this out.
Get help & perhaps see a psychologist for your underlying issues & low self esteem/self worth.
Take care, & PM me if you'd like to chat.

Hey, thanks for your reply. I've decided that i don't want to starve/restrict myself anymore. I know it will be hard work to losing weight the normal way but i would rather do that than hurting my body. Thanks again.

Allow yourself to have anything and everything you want to eat, but become a fabulous food manager. Food may not make you fat, but food abuse might! Choose seasonal foods you aren't likely to eat during the rest of the year -- eliminate those commonly available. For example, choose squash pudding instead of eating bread with butter.
Politely insist on serving yourself. Take very small portions, eat slowly, and pay close attention to taste and cues of becoming full. Enjoy seconds or thirds of what you love, but keep the portions small and don't feel guilty for leaving out what's less than delicious. Leftovers are either wasted in the garbage or wasted on your body, and the former is much less fattening!

Eating is not the reason why you're overweight but exercising is.
You can eat whatever you want and you will never be overweight if have an exercise rutine in your week. Not eating will just give you health problems. Trust me. If you have any questions about what kind of exercise you'd have to do, PM me, I can help you. :)

Good decision Carlos. :) Starvation is NOT an easy way out. Think of it this way, the longer it takes for weight to come off, the more likely it is gonna stay off. But with starvation, it comes off fast, however it comes back equally as fast (if not faster!)
