I have my US Government AP exam tomorrow, and I am so nervous! I don't get test anxiety or anything, in fact I love standardized tests. It's just that we've been building up to this the whole year, you know? Does anyone else have an upcoming AP?

Ooh, I never bothered to take it, but a dozen or so people in my calculus class is... We're not even through with covering all the material that will be tested, so they have to learn a number of concepts on their own. Good luck to everyone! Try to relax, all will be well. :)

I feel okay now that I got through it. I think it went well. I think it was just the anticipation. I definitely started feeling more prepared as we were quizzing each other right before the exam. It made me feel better about the stuff that I didn't think I knew.

Just think about how more and more people think they can handle it, and then fail the exam, which brings the average down. Your chances of a higher score (if you feel prepared) are pretty good. Not sure about your school's curriculum, but we had about 95% of the kids get fives last year.
As for me, I'm taking AP World History next thursday. Our class was very competitive this year, and i've always been on the low end. We'll see how it goes...

The curliclum for ALL ap classes is the same through the country, which is why colleges like it because they KNOW what you learned.
I'm being realistic and hoping for a 3. All the pre test stuff my teacher is passing out I'm consistantly getting 50%-70% on, and even with the essay that's not 5 material.

Not all curriculums are the same. That's the problem with APs. There is no standard "AP US HISTORY" book to study from. There is a standardized set of material on the exam, but every teacher may teach certain things and omit others, or teach them different ways. Maybe we are just thinking of "curriculum" differently.
A 3 isn't bad. Aim for it and be happy when you get a 4 or a 5.
EDIT: Just found out that there's a state that's forced to take the APUSH exam. Not sure which one it is though...but that'll definitely bring down the curve.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you feel while taking the World History exam? I've heard varying things ranging from "It was a TON easier than i thought it would be" to "i wasn't ready at all."

Hmmm...I wasn't prepared, but I did fine. If that makes sense. I didn't stress out about it, I wasn't in the best mental condition to begin with, but I managed to get a 4. I don't recall feeling like I'd just gotten hit by a truck. If you know how to write your essays (like, the style and whatnot), you'll be fine.

Well, APUSH was alright, kind of a bullshit DBQ in my opinion, but whatever, I think I did fine. AP Comp is on Wednesday!

Yeah, everyone in my class thought the DBQ was way too easy. Seriously, all the information was layed out quite clealry infront of you. Unlike the dbqs I did to prepare for the test

I took my APUSH exam last friday, and it wasn't as bad as i thought it was gonna be. Me and my friend both thought we were just gonna break down and start crying during the exam because thats how my teacher played it up to be lol.

I know a lot of people that thought that, but I didn't really think it was all that bad. I thought the multiple choice were kind of harder than the essays personally. My teacher didn't think the DBQ we had would've been the DBQ but he did say study the material because that would be a lot of the test since we skimmed the section.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu-. We took a diagnostic test in my class today, and we all are going to fail it, haha. We knew none of it because my teacher's mom died last week so he had the whole week off and he wasn't hear today and we had to do work from the books and our sub was freaking ridiculous because if we wouldn't finish it, she'd write us up, so we learned nothing at all because all we did was look for answers. So, on Friday I will not get a two like I thought I would, I shall be getting a one, lol. And like my run on sentence? :D

I got no freakin clue. We were talking about one of em in class today (and AP police did not jump out of the ceiling and beat us all because we did lol). Some of them were just like jaw on desk WTF questions.
