Players take the role of a Black Ops operative who will be involved in missions behind enemy lines. Missions will take place in a variety of locations, including Cuba, the Arctic, and Vietnam.

In February 2010, a casting call for Call of Duty 7 led to speculation that the game would be taking place during the Cold War era with some battles taking place in South Vietnam.The game is set to include multiplayer, single-player and co-op modes.

I think it's going to be a good game. I like Treyarch better than Infinity Ward, so I have high hopes for this game. I just hope they don't recycle MW2's bad graphics and bad multiplayer.

WaW was better, story wise. It wasn't all over the place and kept a dark, serious tone to it. I mean, look at the beginning, you watch a dude get sliced.

Treyarch do the random bits in between its seeming

vietnam should be pretty good tho if they can do it right

other familiar weapons are: m1a1, m1garand, thompson, mac-10, uzi, Browning lmg, BAR, Thumper, FAL, Springfield, M60
some interesting new weapons are: M3 Greasegun (US copy of MP 40) L2A1 (British SMG)

AC130's where also used, so these may be in multiplayer or what have you.
and the most disappointing factor is: no mp5, it was made half way through the war but doesn't seem to have been used (my guess is it was to expensive to field on mass amounts at the time)

Never said it was. It set the tone, though. I liked that they did that in MW2; it was unique and was vital to the story.

but i found out that Black ops covers all major events of the Cold war so it may just still be in it. i've found out that there are levels in Cuba, Vietnam(as we already knew) and even an episode in London from when terrorists attacked the Israili embassy or some junk so there's a wide range of weapons now included from the 60's right up to the 90's

Anyways. I think it will be good. I like Treyarch Alot better than Infinity Ward. I love WaW. Only thing I dislike is the sound. MW2 has alot of louder explosions and more dynamic sound. ( Or its just my TV )

im a lil fucking pissed they are bringing back the older time for the games again. yea mw2 campaign was really stupid and didnt really follow much of cod 4 story line. but i mean treyarch really fucked up on waw. the graphics really sucked ass, it had an alright campaign

the G3 assault rifle was designed in 1950 and put into service in 1959 and the Mac-10 was produced and in service between the years of 1970 - 1975

the Vietnam war took part between the years of 1955 - 1975, therefore all guns where invented and in service at the time
