Breaking Up

How do I do it? He's my first boyfriend, and I wish to break up. But as he is my first boyfriend, I have no clue how to go about it. Especially since he seems to have no idea I'm not into him anymore.

Sit down, be serious, and be absolutely honest. It's not going to be easy, but it's very important for you to express yourself clearly to avoid complications and potential drama. Make sure he understands the reasoning behind your decision, as well as the fact that you have made up your mind about ending the relationship.

No matter what, remember to stay calm and collected. The moment strong emotions are stirred up in both parties, is when any hope of a mature discussion will be lost. Also, at some point, be sure to thank him for the time spent together - end off on good terms.

I agree with Krezlyn's points there. :)

Also, breaking up is very difficult. He might be annoyed with you at first, but over time he will realise it was the right thing for you to so, and he will respect you for telling him straight.

Ive known people who haven't told their partner they are breaking up, and just go off with another boy/girl, leaving their old partner to work out they are not going out anymore. If you did it this way, then many people would lose respect for you (not just your boyfriend), and it would probably break his heart even more.
