I've just recently been wondering what is with my body. Like.. I eat, but not a lot, like I'll only nibble my lunch and throw it away when I'm at school, and when I'm home during the day, I'll skip lunch and breakfast then eat dinner. It's been like that for like 2 years now and I've never really seen anything wrong with it, but recently my friends say I'm looking "anorexic" or eating like one. Then there's the starving sorta thing, I go days without eating, it's another reason I'm anemic.. The thing is, I am actually hungry. I just don't really care enough to eat. I wouldn't exactly call it anorexia.. Or buliema or binge eating..but I guess you could post it as a ED, does anyone have any ideas what it may be, or how to help with this?

Hmm that's interesting. You're right that it isn't anorexia.. I mean, unless you have this along with a distorted view on your body, obsessively weighing yourself, etc. But it certainly isn't normal. Maybe it's EDNOS ? (Eating disorder not otherwise specified). It basically covers all disordered eating that doesn't fit under binge eating, bulimia, or anorexia.
So you just don't care enough to eat? Or is there more to it...? Like are you afraid at how food might affect your body?

Maybe it is EDNOS, I mean, it's something that's never really bothered me, but recently it's causing problems to like my stomach. Making it feel like it's eating itself. The only time I do eat is when I'm kinda forced, which would be dinner time because people watch me eat. Food hasn't really ever interested me at all. I know I'm losing weight, and I know that I don't really care that I am, because I'm not like overweight, and I'm not underweight. Like now, I've just woken up, and I should go eat something, but I won't, unless I'm forced, or watched. Most of the time I'm not so I don't eat, it's like I forget to go get food or something.

Ohh I know that feeling. That's errrmm.. not good! Your body is definitely surviving by a thread. I don't think it's much of a serious ED...nonetheless you should pay attention to it. Maybe you could set a schedule of times during the day where you eat something. Whether you have an anorexic mindset or not, lack of food is not good. I can kinda understand.. I'm the same way with drinking actually. I don't really care, so I often forget. I've had to be sent to the emergency room due to dehydration several times because of it.. So yeah, I think it's good that you're realizing this is a problem. Maybe you could try the schedule thing I mentioned. That's what I do..except with fluids. Hope this helps!

It could be down to physiological causes, like lack of appetite, or perhaps psychological causes, like Depression, (apathy, lack of appetite, fatigue, depressed, not caring about much of anything, etc) I don't think it sounds like an eating disorder, perhaps disordered eating, but we're not qualified to make that diagnosis, I'd see a doctor.

Hm, I wish I had some idea what it was too, i do the exact same thing, have done for around 2 years also. I don't think theres anything wrong with it, but when i do go get lunch a friend will go 'oh your actually getting lunch for once' or another will be all 'you need to eat'. so yeah. maybe you've just lost you appitite or etc, like BeautifulDisaster said.
