You say boardshorts, so I'm assuming without the mesh to hold the junk, then yeah most of the time I'll wear underwear. If there's a mesh, then I'll go commando.

I always wear boxer briefs under. I hate being self-conscious coming out of the water with my junk in a weird position and boxer briefs help, in my opinion, make it less noticable.

You could.. I've seen people that have. But I imagine it would be really uncomfortable.

It really depends on how you feel. Some people like wearing something under and some don't so it's up to you.

yea I feel that wearing boxers underneath boardshorts helps keep them on me, or maybe my board shorts are just a tad too big

If there's net I'm kinda forced to not wear anything under the board shorts.:) But prefer to have the ones with no netting So I can wear underwear underneath my board shorts:)
