I got athletes foot and pretty bad. I wear work boots whenever I'm not in the house (I'm working 95% of the time I'm awake) and my feet get really sweaty and it gives me athletes foot. I plastered the inside of my boots a few days ago with that powder that's made for feet and it absorbed so much it got mushy. I tried that Tinactin stuff and it gets rid of the itch but nothing else. Will odor eaters help since I hate going anywhere I have to take my boots off or what can I do to help this, I don't wear the insulated boots either and yes I got to wear them for work. This is embarrassing anytime I have to go to a friends house and it has to stop. Help please

1. Throw away those boots as they sound like they're full of bacteria-infected crap. Buy some nice new ones.
2. Go and get yourself some sort of topical treatment for the athletes' foot (a powder / cream) and it should clear it up pretty quickly.
3. Always make sure you clean your feet well when you wash and that you wear a fresh, clean pair of socks each day. It might be worth thinking about changing them over at lunch time / whenever you have a break so that they don't get too sweaty.
If the problem continues, go and see your doctor :)

I bought new boots 2 weeks ago for that reason, the old ones were starting to go bad but not bad enough to replace. I always put on new socks but am gonna try changing them at lunch and when I get home. I will go to the grocery store and see what they have for creams/powders. Would putting on a cream and putting that powder in my boots do any good you think? If that don't help I guess I'll have to see the doc.

Putting so much powder in your boots won't help. In fact, putting powder in them won't help at all.
The bit in the powders which does you any good needs to be in contact with your feet and should only be applied in small amounts.

Alright, thats good to know, I figured it absorbed the sweat, not prevented it from forming

Lotrimin works pretty well for athletes foot. I strongly recommend it.
