Smog

Another try at environmentalist poetry...

Smog

Through pin-pricked fabric;
We watch illumination through
Holes emitting the glow.
We burn bad incense;
And watch cool grey
Patch up the speckled intrusions.

As the world grows dull,
We light one more,
Faint ever further
Into sullen canvas,
Painting a picture
With the lights omitted.
