so yesterday i was asked out by my best friend, i really like him. but there is just one problem. Jeanette... she is one of my best friends and obsesses over the guy i like. and i know it will hurt her if we went out... and i dont' want to hurt her... she has no idea we like each other, so instead of it being a shock, i thought it might be best to perhaps to tell her i might like him, then tell her i do like him, then the week after that tell her that we are goign out or something like that... i'm not sure if thats the best course of action, but mom thinks it is. this way she isn't shocked. plus i told her a few weeks ago that i was confsued on my feelings for this person this was when she asked if i liked him, my exact response was like i'm not sure, maybe i dn't know... because i wasn't sure if yes i think i may would ruin our relationship as friends... because i don't want to lose her as a friend. so what should i do?

Being honest is the best way to go about this. f you don't tell her right away and she somehow finds out then she will no doubt not be your friend. If you have a sit down talk with her and explain that you have feelings for him and that he's asked you out I think she will respect that. Just because she obsesses over him doesn't mean that he is off limits. Just e honest with her. I hope this helps If you need anyone to talk to I'm always here. Good luck

It would be best to do this in person. It's better than the phone so you can both express your feelings, but don't let her obsession over him over rule you liking him. Good luck :)
