I had an idea for a sports forum. I mean with all of the FIFA stuff, that would fit perfect into the sports forum. As VT grow the intrests of people do. I know not everybody likes sprts as much as me, but some are interested. I think this would attract some members too.

Hey, don't be so hostile to charlie, shes allowed to have an opionion. We have enough forums right now. Put your sports questions in The VT Daily Cronicle, or the Coffee Shop, or the Fourth Wall. And or make a diary. But LORD we have to many forums as it is. Insignificant forums that I personally feel are not needed.

Soprts is somthing that just comes up in everyday conversations, puberty isn't

i think diary devoted to sports is a really good idea, but i agree with koler, there are way to many forums. i think they should sack 4th wall or tech junkys paradise to be replaced by a sports forum.

Those are both important forums! We do have loads of forums yeah but why does that matter? They all get plenty of activity so why scrap some?
A sports forum, would be good but it probably wouldn't get as much activity as the rest, maybe leisure in general for a forum? But those could all fit in TCS.

Yea i disagree with scrapping those. I don't think we have to many forums. It doesn't have to be that busy. not every forum is busy.

I like the idea of less, broader forums rather than many specific ones. In my opinion, the coffee shop, the white padded room, and the VT daily cronicle are enough for one like how it was before. It would be better to replace the 2 and add 2 (or even 1) broader different subjects. It seems that whats being posted in VTDC are articles that arent getting much feedback as a whole and the mods are just posting more articles to keep it alive rather than getting feedback.

Ya.. I agree. The news forum was a fantastic concept but in reality doesn't work that well. I think a sports forum would be a good replacement :)

We gave our opinions on a sports forum like you asked, the issue has been raised several times before.
Nobody ever had a need to post here, but we still did. Whether I need to or not I still can. You made you opinion at the begining, then made several posts after that, but if we do that its not ok? I believe in the old country they called that Hypocrisy.

Too many forums, too many diaries, but if it was a diary it would probably be popular. Maybe use the Coffee Shop, but I see how you would just want a forum. In fact, we could make the whole Psyciatric Ward group into one forum, but it would lose some of the value, and some of the specificness from the forums just being apart. I don't know, because of the number of forums and member forums. I say try a diary first. Then, if it's popular enough, it might be made into a general forum :)

i think its a great idea and i think it should be in the general discussion area. i like sports (basketball especially) and i would love a place to talk about nba and stuff (especiialy my nets) so diary would be good too but it would be a good idea

Well I think the VTDC should stay and not because it was my idea, it is a good forum, I do not know about the rest of you but I am finding out things that I would probably never find out, so the forum is fulfilling its purpose...and yes some threads in it are slow, but it does get feedback....now as for a sports forum...I dont really know....I mean How much people actually would post in it? I mean with the puberty forum its very popular becuase we all go through puberty and the WPR is pretty much general discussion and the VTDC is news, which everyone knows about....Now I like sports but what about other people.....In all honestly i do not think the site NEEDS a new forum but whatever

Why the hell is there a sudden influx in forums? I pitch an idea for the VTDC it goes well, then someone wants to put a forum about being naked, then theres the coffee shop and now another person wants one on sporta, i mean really people

Im on the fence, i mean I like sports, but I dont really play sports to be honest, and how many memebers of VT do? You have to try to aim at something that a majority could relate to, like I understand Kiros' idea for teh coffee shop a place where can all hang, but I dont think we need it because we all have the WPR...w/sports good concept, but would people post...What exactly would go in there?

favorite team... your favorite sports... if your trying out for a team or anything. a major sports event (olympics, World Cup, super bowl, ect.) controversy in sports. any type of sports.. News could be posted in either one .

Anyway, about a sports forum, sure, the idea may work, but how about an admin steps in and gives an opinion? Could be useful.

Either it's a yes or it's a no but a decision needs to be made. The thread has already gotten a little out of hand imo.
