View Full Version : Should We Be Worried

Bobby
July 5th, 2006, 08:35 AM
As most of us know, North Korea, has launched many nuclear test missles. Many of them landed in the sea of Japan or exploded in flight. They are saying that this long range missle could reach the western half of the U.S. parts of Asia, and a large portion of Europe. (from what I saw on the map shown on the news).

Two questions:
Are you worried?
Should we be worried?

Yes, I am worried about this because it might cause a nuclear war/world war which can destroy the world, and well... I think most of us should be worried... a friend of mine told me that they did it because they lost in the mundial?? wtf?

July 5th, 2006, 08:39 AM
I am kinda worried about this but i am pretty sure the United States and the UN are not going to tolerate this. North Korea sooner rather than later will be forced to stop firing the missiles. They can reach the United States in minutes, which is a big problem. Bush has to try and get the UN and other countries to help prevent another firing. I think Japan will help, cause they were angry about the firing yesterday too. But in all and all i am kinda worried for the west coast, i live on the east coast so it wouldnt hit me (not being conceited)

But just imagine... first, that country its like small as heck, and they are threatening the entire earth?? wtf?? then, can you imagine how destructive this can be?? even for themselves!!

what the hell is wrong with you
you might want to die, but dont you think about other people? i mean... i was totally hurted when i was looking at the tv almost 5 years ago the 9/11... and i was just 8... i knew that the world was blowing away... think about all the people that died that day, and the following in iraq and wished to be here, at your place, and you are just wishing to die? go ahead, get a k43 or whatever, and kill some people... i dont care, because you will all by yourself hurt yourself more and more and more... you might even make a favor to those people because this world is starting to suck... power, money, and war... thats what almost everyone thinks... instead of woring about poverty, hungry, and homeless... think about what you just said...

rite the North Koreans may be testing their missles and all that jazz but they are not stupid. they wont risk open war, they may be strong but they dont want that. all they are doing is looking for attention and generally wanna piss people off, which they have done both. remember we are dealing with a dictator, Kim Jong-Il, who is looking for world attention.

i was 20 miles away durning 9/11. i could see the smoke for days. i cried sooooo much. my fathers office was across the street from the attacks (he got out safely ;)) i agree with you completly miguel, how could you say such things about the country you live in?

I dont think North korea would dare test a missle upon the US. NATO and the UN wouldnt tolerate it. Almost every country in the world promised north korea a war if they tested a missle upon the US or Canada. Besides, north korea has NO allies whatsoever, if they start a war, they are on their own against NATO and the UN, who have way more nukes than they do.

I think we should be worried because I didn't even know that North Korea was testing! I really need to start watching the news more. But, now, yes I am, and we should, be worried!

I am sorry but N. Korea has right to test their missiles....If other countries can why can't they.....yes they dont like the U.S, but a lot of countries dont....and they never said they were going to attack us, we just assumed that.....i do not think that they will attack because they know that if they do, they will be wiped off the face of the earth

North Korea knows better than to go to war with the US. It's the most mowerful country on the planet and they've got powerful friends, too.

I'm a good editor and I make at least one spelling/grammar mistake a day o.o But I also see you and alot of other people make a spelling mistake, and Kiros is so far the one who has made the least from what I've seen.

Hell yeah I'm worried. I'm worried that they planned this out after they knew most of the U.S' forces was in Iraq. I'm worried, and I'm worried how our current govornment is going to take it. I can only hope. But right now, I can only continue my life right now and hold on to the easy silence of distractions. Like VT

no one should really worry themselves over the North Koreans. they may be mad and all that, but they are smart and know that if they were to launch an attack, the world would turn on them, and thats not what they want at all. Kim Jong-Il is looking for attention, and wants the world to remember North Korea still exists, he wouldn't be too happy other countries are getting more attention than his. but yea North Korea were just flexing their military muscle although it did backfire on them slightly when their Taepodong-2 missle failed after 42 seconds i think.

i think the time we need to fear North Korea is when they are all quiet.

i know that they would pose no real threat to the whole world, if they fecked up the world would turn on them, but still i think they could cause some trouble if they wanted to. like they have a big army, so they could cause a bit of damage.

I understand where your comming from Alex
Now i'm not saying I would like a war
I do NOT want one
there would be tens of thousands of deaths
But I'm not afraid of North Korea in the least
its the global communitys version of a pissed off todler
If we give into what there doing
If we let him think even for a second we actually are scared and we make him happy by giving him what he wants
how long till he does it again?

Seems to me that north korea's targets are seattle, san franscisco, los angles, vancouver, san diego, etc. but the rocket they launched burned up after a few seconds. i'm not convinced that north korea even has the technology. i think kim jon or whatever his name is, is just trying to get attention and power. but he's so stupid. the US prob has dozens of nukes, north korea has like what? 2? 3? and who says his nukes even work. i dont see them as a threat.

mRojas2000
July 8th, 2006, 08:53 AM
america may have nukes... and so does north korea, and i dont really think that they have just 2 or 3... if they really want to start a nuclear war if someone attacks them, like they said july 3rd, 2006, they need more than just 2 or 3 nukes...

i think cody hit it on the head, korea is a toddler.

now america is standing there trying to disipline the teenage iraq, and korea gets upset its not getting any attention, so korea does the "im not gonna breathe till you give me what i want" rutine, we ignore, the teen is getting alittle bi-polar on us, and so little baby korea starts kicking and screaming, they aim at us, being a toddler miss terribley. but even though they are a toddler if they get a solid hit on america, that toddler is gonna reach its teens pretty damn fast, and its gonna get its teenage ass handed to it

if north korea kills 1000 people from one missile launch no matter how bad you get them back there are still 1000 dead americans.

Yea so they could hit canada with there crappy aim and wipe out all of Vancouver and Victoria

A child dies every 3 seconds from starvation
thats just starvation and thats just a child
thats not including all the other crap
Thats not including women, teens, or men
People die all the time
I could die from his missiles but you know what I'd die knowing that North America would attack as a whole like never befor
North Korea would die in minutes
There entire military and government wiped out in our rage and revenge

Steping back and looking at this
Right now theres 23,113,019 North Koreans living in hell
there head hospital in Pyonqyang is so ill equiped old film scraps are used as bandage covers
They dont even have medicine to give a child for an upset stomach
Famine there is a HUGE problem yet there leader denies even its existance
He even turns away international aid from the world food organization
The ONLY source of power comes from an ancient Soviet Union Relic, a power plant of which they don't even have any spare parts to maintain it nor the capability to make new ones
So the majority of the country including hospitals goes dark at night This is North and South Korea at night (http://www.fas.org/nuke/guide/dprk/facility/dprk-dmsp-dark.jpg) Notice a diffrence?

I will NOT let some insane short fat todler frighten me!
I will not be his hostage! Fuck'em!
Kim may be a "god" in his little back water country
But in the real world hes NOTHING
and he knows it
IF and I must strech the IF he ever actualy gains the tecnological ability to fire a missile that would reliably hit us he still has to go through the defences
NORAD, Balistic Defence, half the United States Air Craft Carrier fleet which is currently deployed in the Pacific not to mention the Destroyers equiped with missiles specifically designed to shoot down his
And then theres my favorite
the Ohio class nuclear submarines 14 of which each is armed with 24 Trident II SLBMs
and another 4 armed with 154 tomahawk cruise missiles

so you know what
BRING IT!........................-waits-..................Didnt think so
He won't attack
and he will NOT get whatever he wants by pulling this shit
when i was a todler
and I had a fit
I got a spanking

Now I couldn't read on from that post..

Some facts

1 I think no country should have nukes ( Which is why I got pissed off, why should USA or any UN country or any other country in that matter have nukes )

2 And why do you people think Korea is testing them? For defense and paranoia, I am sure USA tests their missiles just like any other country, also USA tested their nukes so that they got I don't remember how many ppl were around the test site when USA fired nukes into the sea.. It was shortly after the war but I cant remember the amount of ppl who got radiated.

3 Yes Korea should be stopped but carefully, because indeed the possibility of a nuclear attack is always there..
