I'm bi/curious and today my friend told me he liked me. He is the only one who knows I'm bi and i don't want people to find out because the people in my school are closed minded but i think hes cute and i like him to :wub: . The problem is that i don't want to go out with him cause people will find out but i want to be more then friends. What should i do? :confused:

Go out with him, don't show affection in school though.
If your in middle school, wait till high school to show gay affection in school.

This is a really tough situation, and there is no easy answer here. My recommendation is that if you truly like this fellow, then what you told us is what you need to tell him. In light of his being from your town he is going to have the exact same problem as you. I am sure there is a way for you both to be together, but just do not be open about the sexual/romantic aspect about your relationship. Just let everyone think you both are best friends as no one will think twice. When you two are alone, then you can do what boyfriends do, but when you both are in public just act like close friends. Unless either you or your friend tells someone about your relationship you both can go on for a really long time being in a relationship without anyone noticing.

There is nothing wrong with the way you feel, but be realistic with your area. If alternate sexuality is something which would really cause problems, then do not advertise and be discrete. If you live a small town, then just be careful on what you both do in public which should not be too hard.

In short, if you like this guy, then go for it, but you will need to set down some ground rules based upon what you have told us. If this guy does not agree to them, then he is not worth your time as he should understand your limitations if he really cares about you.
