As the title says, I spent 30 mins making a wallpaper for my football (soccer) team, Crystal Palace in GIMP. So then, whaddya think? Oh, and the thing at the bottom is there so it looks good on my Vista laptop with Aero.

EDIT: I added all the 3D, gradients, text & lighting effects myself. Only the Palace logo is from somewhere else and I added the bevel and 3D to that.

I'm not even downloading this.
Tinypic.com and upload it. ._.
From what I can see on the thumbnail it looks fairly decent.
But meh, why isn't this in The Art Room?

:D Thanks for the compliment, but I have to question your mental health from this. You're European and you hate football?!

It's good actually. But have you tried changing the background? I mean the whole thing will catch more attention and look better if it had sort of a gradient or abstract background but only a monochromatic one cause if there are too many colors, it'll look all over the place.

Simplicity is magnificence. It helps portray a singular thought without overdoing a composition. A gradient on this could have very well ruined it.

I like it. But it were my wallpaper I would change the background color to something less bright. Would blind my eyes because I have a large monitor.
