I was wondering how Jews viewed homosexuals.

Anyways, people with the knowledge on this subject ramble on. ;)

וְאֶת-זָכָר--לֹא תִשְׁכַּב, מִשְׁכְּבֵי אִשָּׁה: תּוֹעֵבָה, הִוא.

Lev.18,22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind; it is abomination.

Lev.20,13 And if a man lie with mankind, as with womankind, both of them have committed abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Most Rabbi's believe it is a disease actually.

"Clearly, genuine homosexuality experienced under duress (Hebrew: ones) most obviously lends itself to being termed pathological especially where dysfunction appears in other aspects of personality. Opportunistic homosexuality, ideological homosexuality, and transitory adult homosexuality are at the other end of the spectrum, and appear most reprehensible.... Where the category of mental illness does apply, the act itself remains toŽevah (an abomination), but the fact of illness lays upon us the obligation of pastoral compassion, psychological understanding, and social sympathy. In these sense, homosexuality is no different from any other anti-social or anti-halakhic act ... An example of a criminal act that is treated with compassion by the Halakhah, which in practice considers the act pathological rather than criminal, is suicide.... in the course of time, the tendency has been to remove the stigma from the suicide on the basis of mental disease.... The suicide analogy should not, of course, lead one to conclude that there are grounds for a blanket exculpation of homosexuality as mental illness.... people do not ordinarily propose that suicide be considered an acceptable and legitimate alternative to the rigors of daily life. No sane and moral person sits passively and watches a fellow man attempt suicide because he "understands" him and because it has been decided that suicide is a "morally neutral" act. By the same token, in orienting ourselves to certain types of homosexuals as patients rather than criminals, we do not condone the act but attempt to help the homosexual. Under no circumstances can Judaism suffer homosexuality to become respectable."

The Jewish Torah is the same as the Christian Old Testament. As far as tradition is concerned, most Jews are against gays, gay rights, etc.

^^What do you mean by that?

I wouldn't say that most Jews today are against homosexuality, but unfortunately, the roots of Judaism as shown in the old testament and also the Torah does have a 'stick up the arse' about it for some reason. Probably because they all wanted to procreate, which is now a sorry excuse for a reason for such homophobic bigotry when it comes to today seeing that we really don't need to procreate so much any more. But sensible Jews today will know not to follow the bad bits (not just because the reasoning is archaic but also because they have a shred of morality) and probably live good discrimination free lives today - hopefully.
