first off i don't know where to put this so if needed move it please.

all right i do a paper route for my mom and dad and i get paid 30$ a week
now i mark how much i have on a calendar and i can use as much as i have on amazon.com. but i would like to have it put in a bank for safe keeping and that way it'd be easier to keep track of and i would have more places to use it. my question is how old do i have to be to have a bank account, and what type there is. if anyone can help that would be great.

(edit I'm in the united states if that helps.)

Most banks don't have an age. Just a limit as to what you need to start it off. Usually 100 dollars or so. You should call banks in your town and see their rules about that.

A bank account is a good thing to have, especially if you want to go to college, real important you have one.

Yeah, most are any age with a minimum deposit. Call your local banks (and credit unions) to check.

I don't think there's an age limit just a money limit. If there is an age limit though, I'm sure your parents could establish an account for you to use but you put the money in there, not them.
