Is there an ad blocker on GC?

Title says it all. Is there an add blocker on Google Chrome? I read that there is, but I couldn't find a way to turn one on.

I use AdThwart. I find that AdBlock slows things down whereas AdThwart doesn't hinder performance in any way.
