I use other Vbulliten forums and most of them have the merge/double post feature.
If u post and nobody replies and u post again then it just gets merged, the same for each time u do it till somebody else posts.
I also want the option to delete my own posts.
This should be allowed so can an admin pelase check the allow to delete post button please

You can just report double posts, and or those that need deleting. A mod will do it for you.
Also... i don't see why you'd double post, if you have the edit button.

This has been brought up before and there are a number of reasons why being able to delete your own posts is a bad idea. If people can delete their posts willingly it can cause confusion where replies have been deleted and won't make sense. and can also mess up a thread if the OP decides to delete their post. Also, just because one member decides they want it doesn't really mean the admin should do it. It's up to him at the end of the day. Heres the thread on merging (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?t=71227), this pretty much answers your question. If you'd read the rules before posting you'd have known that auto merging is disabled on this site and double posting is against the rules. We have an edit button for a reason. Usually it'll result in an infraction if it keeps happening.

Well now that you know it doesn't auto merge, surely you won't double post?
Some double posts are accepted, if its been a certain amount of hours between the first post. The button, would and will probably be abused, so imo, i'm against this.

Kinda forcefully stated there. The "Edit" button already allows to remove any text that you change your mind about.

I wasn't attacking, Just letting you know there was another thread that would give you the answers you were looking for. To be honest, if you're curious the best thing to do is search what you're looking for. 9/10 it'll come up. If not, then make a post. People will happily reply :)
