This is the Cutting and Self Harm forum, right?
So there should be other cutters out there, also right?

Then why do I feel like the only one? I know I'm not. I've met other cutters, been in therepy with them too. It justs seems like my cutting was my main thing and was more time consuming than everyone else I've met.

I'm not trying to belittle any of their experiences, I'm just saying that they didn't seem as dependent, or should I say, addicted as I am/was.

It just seems like I'm the only one that's taken as far as I have.

(erm...replies would be appreciated though. you can tell me to fuck off if you want to.)

What are we supposed to say? There's really nothing but hypothetical questions in your post. You know there's other cutters, but you doubt that your cutting is much like theirs. Why not tell us about what makes you cut or why it is your main thing, then see if anyone here can relate?

How far then have you taken it? How much damge have you caused yourself - ever gotten stitches, hospitalized, etc. How big are your scars and where are they? My thickest scar (on my left peck) has a 2-inch segment that stick out further than my nipple. It can be seen well defined if my pull my shirt tight, but normally you could only tell what it is if you were looking specifically for it.

The problem is that I don't know what makes me cut. Every time I think about it I come up with a different answer. Perhaps they are all right and I have many things which is probably why I cut so much.

I don't cut long and deep. I cut about 1 in deep enough to leave a lasting scar. I just cut a lot. 50 cuts at a time seems to be the average and anywhere from 1 to 5 times a day.

Thank you for clarifying my post....I'm a hypothetical person I guess.
