Did anyone go and try them? I did, they were free and they were actually pretty good.
The differences were basically they are no longer "natural cut", they are salted less, and they are cooked in trans fat free oil...which is an industry first.
McDonald's tried this in a few select markets a few years ago without telling anyone. They then stopped because they noticed people were not buying them as often as they used to.
Well, JackInTheBox publicly says they've changed their recipe and are offering them free ONLY on Friday, April 16 (today) to try and keep customers interested as they make the change.
