Another Poem.

mhm, kind of soon to post another, but oh well. was supposed to be a "personal memoir" poem, so i chose my little brother. feedback would be nice. (:

sometimes
its hard;
sometimes it feels like
we're spending our lives searching blindly
through the darkness,
trying to find answers.
sometimes
we just have to hide
the fact that
none of us know
where the future will lead him,
and if we can follow.

if he had been different,
how would we be today?

yes, I know
Autism speaks, because
its words have made us closer,
stronger together.
somehow, our bond has become
inseperable.

sometimes
the stares and seemingly
innocent questions make things
worse, reminds me of
everything we have to except,
embrace into our lives.
but I know nothing
would ever be the same
without him;
my brother.

sometimes
I remember his words won't
come
but I also know
the soft mumbles of
Autism takes the place
of his silence.
and that makes it all
worth it,
because I know his voice
is truly the sweetest.

Autism speaks,
quiet whispers,
you just have to
listen closely to hear
the beauty in its voice.
