First of all the very minimum age you can work is 13 and that is only a job as a paper boy, once you are 14 you can get jobs such as milk rounds. Once you get too 15 you can start too work in shops, restuarants and market stalls but only if the employer is willing to let you work without a national insurance number.

you would still have to wait another year to work in a supermarket :) hope i helped x

Many shops won't take you on until you have national insurance, that means your 16+.

A lot is also due to health and safety. If you work in a supermarket and you do your back in lifting stuff at the age of 15 your technically classed as a minor and yourself/your parents could sue the supermarket and have a valid case. Therefore most professional shops such as b&q and sainsburys etc. will only take you on 16+

Paper rounds are your best bet and at Christmas you can make a fair bit of money, I did a paper round for about 3 years and my average tips at christmas were about £200 just for putting a bow round the papers on the 23rd of December and a card through the door, thoughtful and easy money.

Local shops e.g. corner shops may employ you however in the UK you cannot sell cigarettes therefore if someone comes into buy cigarettes an over 18 has to be behind the till to serve them, alcohol is the same however in supermarkets its authorised by the checkout manager.

So I'm not putting you down completely as unemployable however I feel its unlikely you can get anything more than a paper round/cash in hand work at 14.

Hope this helps :)
