I like Windows 7 because of the taskbar, haha. But I haven't noticed any differences with 7 and Vista besides the taskbar and something else.

Oh, when you're downloading stuff off of something, like Steam, it shows your progress on your thing on the taskbar.

XP was considered the "superior" operating system compared to anything.

Any sales agent at any computer/electronics store will suggest ANYTHING running XP...especially netbooks. I asked them if I should upgrade my netbook to Vista or 7 and they said leave it at XP...they said that most netbooks are using XP for a reason...it's more reliable.

7 is probably the nicest/smoothest one I've ever used. I've never owned a computer with it...but I've played with it. I have a laptop with Vista and it seems to be too controlling. Everything always stops unexpectedly and stuff...and the laptop is nearly brand new. I also have No viruses.

My netbook, running XP, seems to work pretty well. I just like the fancy design of 7 and maybe even Vista...but as far as performance...XP exceeds them all.

The reason Im asking is because i can either get a customized skin netbook with XP or a plain netbook with 7. Both same price.

XP: Reliability and speed
Vista: Good looks and a lot of extra little features
7: Good looks, reliability, speed(more-so than XP in my experience) and a lot of extra little features
I've used all three as a main OS, and I definitely recommend 7

I'd probably go with XP. It runs much smoother on netbooks and allows a much larger and easier storage for your netbook opposed to 7 which eats up memory...fast.

From my experience XP eats up a lot more memory than 7.

Yea...I was told by someone that 7 is kind of like XP and Vista put together...

Reliability, speed, and looks...but it has never been recommended to me in a netbook before.

7, it has the great interface/graphics of vista and the stable-ness of XP. I mean, the new taskbar is great, and it's been compatible with everything I've thrown at it. Would never go back to XP, it just seems too vulnerable to glitches and viruses.

W7 because it has all of the reliability and stability of Windows XP, and looks absolutely fantastic.

I have had XP and Vista. I like Vista better. Much more...functional.
Although it treats you like an illiterate idiot, its okay.
So definitely Vista in that one. Not sure about 7 since I don't have it but Ive seen screenshots...i think vista is better

I don't give a shit what anyone says I still love my XP. Vista i hated with a fiery passion. Windows 7 I might be looking into. Until I have that XP Is the best to me.

If you have an older computer, XP is just fine. If its a newer one, get away from Vista and upgrade to 7.

When I bought my new laptop that had vista preinstalled, I was really disappointed on how slow it ran. Once the free upgrade to 7 came around I was a happy camper.

A few days ago i've got Windows 7 Ultimate as my birthday gift. It's much better than my old XP. It's compitable with every software. It runs smoother than Vista. Win7 uses my HD 5770's DX11. I strongly recommend Windows 7.

Got a new laptop this week running 7, it seems much faster than Vista, really pleased with the performance. Still getting used to the different way the task bar operates.
