Other VBulletin sites I participate on auto-merge posts whenever you post one or more times after yourself (like multiple posting) in a row.

This cleans up threads, makes them shorter/easier to read, and makes it easier for the users to quote multiple people.

Just a suggestion (that I know is possible).

Thanks,
Nick (nicknrm)

Always been on the fence about it because while it can be really convenient in places like P101 it can become a nuisance in more relaxed parts of the site like diaries.

Double posts aren't really that annoying and it's quick to fix them so it's not to much of a problem where we need that and in different parts of the forum a double posts can actually be more beneficial. If people would use the multi quote option then quoting more than one person wouldn't be a problem.

Could it be possible to do it in only one sub-forum?

I agree with John, if it could be implemented in places only like P101 then it would be a good thing. Save time for the mods anyway.

Doesn't take that long to do..click a button and BOOM. done.
Although, it can be pointless because some double posts are good..even in p101.

On one vB forum I'm on the auto merge only merges the posts if they're within 15 min of each other
